a second reason you cant miss bidem

PROGRAM COMMITTEE MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the committee, your responsibilities will be to:

(1) SOLICIT QUALITY PAPERS FOR SUBMISSION TO THE CONFERENCE.

At a minimum this will involve posting the Call for Participation.

PC members are encouraged to submit papers to the conference, although    the General Chair and the Program Co-chairs may not.  We will handle     papers submitted by committee members more carefully, and, to minimize    conflicts of interest, we  will enforce the confidentiality of reviews     from other committee members.

(2) PERSONALLY, REVIEW SUBMISSIONS;

The FIRM due date for submissions is will be announced in January.    Abstracts will be due one month before, the due date.  During the time     PC members will review abstracts to  declare conflicts and express interests in papers.     PC members will be asked to review and agree to a conflict of interest statement prior     to the assignment of papers.

The bulk of the reviewing will be done     from in late Winter to mid Spring.  Reviews will include submissions for  master classes as well.  It is difficult to predict exactly how many    submissions we will receive, so members will be made an offer and they     will be able to commit to a minimum number of papers for review closer to     the time.     This Conference and Trade Show will serve to disseminate research      findings aimed at filling current market intelligence gaps.

But it is not an academic conference, hence, some of the submissions will relate to    practical skills building sessions, certification, and certification prep  workshops or bootcamps.     PC members are expected to read and write reviews for every paper for    which they have been assigned.  PC members may solicit additional    readers, but they must guarantee the confidentiality of the    submissions and reviews.

(3) ATTEND THE PROGRAM COMMITTEE MEETING.

Programme Committee meeting will be held online via web conferencing at  the best date and time agreed via related round robin. They will progress  from monthly meetings to  fortnightly special sub-committee meetings as we  move closer to the event date. Not all PC members will be required to serve on a sub-committee.  If you accept our invitation, you are committing yourself to     attend this meeting.  Your attendance is absolutely crucial.

(4) ATTEND THE CONFERENCE

The event spans a total of 4 days. One pre-conference certification and    master workshop, plus industry tours, and 2 and ½ days of Conference and    Trade Show.       PC members are expected to attend, you might also be interested to  chair a session (paper, panel, keynote, master class etc.).

(5) PUBLICIZE THE CONFERENCE

PC members are expected to help publicize the conference by performing    the following tasks:

a.  Forward the electronic version of the – BIDEM, the Call for Papers,  and preliminary Program to as many people as possible;

b.  Actively recruit delegates and exhibitors for BIDEM 2020;

c.  Actively publicize and promote BIDEM 2020;

d.  Show attachment and comment on the event social media handles as well as on your own handles;

e.  Recommend others who should be at the table. If you are in Toronto, it would be nice if you were available to join on of the industry tours, that is not mandatory.
